ASC Weekend 2 results

Re: ASC Weekend 2 results

Rich, I think you beat me, but that isn't the first time, and you weren't alone in doing so. :)

What an amazing weekend of shooting! Great to see everyone (east coast shooters) again.

Huge thanks to those eeeFN guys, US Optics, Corbon, Badger, Mountain Shooter Slings, and the many other sponsors.

David

Re: ASC Weekend 2 results

I have the results, I will post in a little while, unless someone beats me to it, I have a metric shit ton of photos and a couple vids, here is just a taster to the guys unlucky enough not to make this shoot.

I have a long list of thanks, and need to feed my kids before I take an hour to type it out, but here is a taste of the Military SCAR that FNH brought us to play with.

can not get imbedded to work, here is the link, if someone can figure it out, code is below.

Re: ASC Weekend 2 results

Congratulations to Pete Pi!!!!!!
He not only made the winning ammo, but shot like a winner all weekend!

Looks like Excel fail on Moon's score. His score is 58 if you talley the two stages. Sometimes I wonder how these cyber errors occur....

On another note, I had a great time visiting with those of you I caught up with this time, and appreciated getting to know some of our sponsors and shooters I had not gotten time to speak with at previous shoots.

Ben Voss and crew: Again, you guys rock! I will be writing (anyone who will read about it at FNHUSA)good things about FN's sponsorship at this match, your enthusiasm for shooting and the product(and your knowledge of it) you guys are representing. Sales can be fun when you believe in your product, and it was easy to see these guys enjoy their jobs!
Pete Pi: Without Pete's personal time and generosity this match could not have been such a success. Thanks man!!!! If you ever get some face time with Pete, he has some great hunting and shooting stories. Great to get to hang out with you again!
US OPTICS: Thanks for supplying the awesome optics!!! I loved the Erik knob, clarity, and GAP mildots!!! Also, another company whom ASC is in debt to for making this match happen!
These sponsors provided a total Rifle setup of a SPR A5M with a USO ST-10, Badger Rings, and a Mountain Shooter sling. I am not remembering who won all this swag in the roll of the dice at the moment, but Congratulaions go out for snagging a nice rig.

GAP provided the work on another awesome rifle for the prize table: An awesome m700 308 in a Manners MCS T-5 tan stock and Badger rings. Thanks to George Gardner for his continued patronage of our match and Congrats to Nick for a well deserved pickup of this rifle.

Hope to see you all again!!!

Re: ASC Weekend 2 results

Congrats on the win Pete! Ill catch you next time. A Hugh thanks to all the sponsors for their generocity and taking the time to give back to the shooting community. I will be writing my letters and sending them out very soon. We can never say enough thanks to all the sponsors for the sport that we love.

Re: ASC Weekend 2 results

My hat is off to Pete Pi of Cor-Bon. Congratulations for an outstanding win. Pete was definately "in the zone" the entire match and his score reflects this. Pete, you definately earned this win for your skill and concentration.

Congrats to Ernest Stokesberry from GA Precision for winning the SPR drawing. If a gunsmith from GAP owns and shoots a factory FN rifle, I've done my job.

I would also like to thank all of the other sponsors. It was great to work with all of you to get this match from dream to reality. I am proud that FNH was a part of it. Rod and John and their entire crew: a better group of professionals and dedicated shooters, I have not met. Thanks for the opportunity, not only to sponsor the match, but also shoot it along side the most skilled long range shooters there are.

It was a great pleasure to shoot along side ALL of the competitors. I look forward to shooting with each of you someday in the future. FNH is commited to supporting matches like these for a couple of reasons: We are shooters, too, and really enjoy shooting long range. We also want to support these matches to encourage others to join this exciting and very challenging sport. Thirdly, FNH gets direct market exposure and FNH gains a lot of feed back from the other competitors to use in future products. There is a bit of market research going on, but it is a hell of a way to make a living. Some of the photos taken this weekend will likely make it into our 2011 catalog. What a venue to take pictures!

The next match we will be at is the Shooter's Bash in December. I will be there from train-up until the last prize is given away. Hope to see you there!

Semper Fidelis,

Re: ASC Weekend 2 results

I want to thank Rod, John, Brock and the boys for another great match. I really liked the relaxed three day format. I hope you consider it again; that is if you put on another match. Also a big thanks to the sponsors of the match: FNUSA, US Optics, Corbon, Badger Ordnance, and Mountain Shooter Slings and all the others. It was a pleasure getting an opportunity to use your products. While it wasn't in my current budget to pick up the rifle/scope combo at this match, I did buy one of Brock's Mountain Shooter slings after the match. I really simple sling that works great as a shooting aid and one that would work great on my hunting rifles as well as my tactical rifles. I also see one of those FN 5.7 carbines in my future. A big thanks to Clark Kennedy for bringing his out and letting me burn his ammo.
It was enjoyable getting to see all the old faces again and getting to meet some new ones. I had a great time listening to some of Pete Pi's stories and getting to talk to Ben Voss. I knew I screwed up after getting out of the Corps. I should have talked to FN instead of going to law school.

Re: ASC Weekend 2 results

Another great match by John, Rod and the crew.It was good to see John and Rod shooting the match but I don't see their scores on the list.Tony(just off the edge)Yac finally beat me.FNUSA and US OPTICS were brave to put their equipment in the hands of the best and most critical shooters in the country.Peter Pi shot Sgt. York stage in 16 sec. It was amazing to see how fast he could run the bolt.Learned alot again this year.Blaster

Re: ASC Weekend 2 results

This ASC was my first one and it lived up to its reputation, along with Brock's cooking prowess. When I think of that tenderloin it brings a tear to my eye.

It was also super cool to when the FN/USO combo in the dice roll. Both FN and USO make some outstanding products that we easily witnessed during the course of the match. I know my combo took a beating and I was pleasantly suprised it still managed a one shot hit on a 1-inch square and a respectable 5-shot group at 100yds.

Thanks again to all the sponsors, range officers, cooks, wives, etc., who made this match run. It was much appreciated and I look forward to coming back out again soon.

On a side note, during our stay in Seneca Rocks I think I have found a new adventure in life.......rock climbing. I have been intrigued with the sport for sometime and I think John, Rod, and Arthur have convinced me to make the decision to give it a go.
