At least 2 federal judges have admitted to making bad rulings by using AI

Citing precedents that don’t exist and attributing statements actions and facts to people not invoked in the cases or known to have NOT happened.

But they did come out and say “our bad “ when a review of their cases showed their mistakes.

Now can we assume it’s only two federal judges that have no fucking idea what they are doing g or how to decided a case of write an opinion or cite relevant case law and legal precedent?

Both need to be impeached but we all know that the "rules" only apply to the peasantry.

We had a couple of lawyers in New Zealand using AI to prepare submissions for court. AI invented case law and quoted precidents or decisions that didn't exist.
The lawyers used the AI generated material without checking and came seriously unstuck when the opposition lawyers did check the quoted case law.

That's just the inherent laziness of using AI and not spending some time to "verify" the info presented.
