ok i think i answered my own question lol. 7.76 is basically 308 winchester, for some reason i was thinking 7.62 was 308 win. hmm. whatever i think im goin to bed before my head explodes

You need to get some rest my friend. You mean the 7.62x51 mm NATO or its equivalent of 308 win.

thanks desert, i do have another question then, on coldbore comps page for the 2011 sniper challenge he says its limited to 5.56 and 7.76 rifles only, obviously i know the 223 but whats the 7.76 for this year then?

there is no 7.76 round, ak is 7.62x39, 308 and 7.62x51 are more or less the same....

Im guessing that is just a typo my friend. I have never heard of a 7.76 round.. And when the 5.56 and almost 7.62 are mentioned its always 7.62. Both the US popular NATO's. I dont think I go a day with out seeing one of those mentioned.

I've never heard of a 7.76 round has to be a typo. The closet thing I can reall is the 7.7 Arisaka round which is .311
