So, need some quick help. I have an atacr 4-16x42 that is hitting 8-10 mils high at 50m and appears to be out of elevation going down. I loosened the 4 screws on the clutch a half turn and it doesn't move at all. Any suggestions or anything I'm missing? It's on an sr25 with geissele 20 moa base.

Either your mount is backwards, or more likely the zero stop is still set which is not letting you go back the other way. I assume you've looked through the manual to reset it? How many mils do you get the other direction?

It's geissele mount. I definitely didn't do it backwards. I loosened the screws like the manual said. The clutch/dial has a little play but doesn't spin in either direction.

Its probably stuck down because it had to much pressure on it or was spun down a little too tight or screws tightened too much. Remember, you need to spin it up, not down. If there's a little play between the top and bottom clutch plate, it'll come loose. Tap it lightly then turn it the right way and it should come loose. They stick sometimes I've noticed. try not having it bottomed out to the zero stop before you remove the cap and loosen the screws.

That's what it was. Glad it was me being a dunce and not an issue with the optic.
