I’m having a hard time deciding between these two. I need to make a decision soon. It’ll be going on a .22 rifle. I’ll be shooting @25-300 yards with it. I’m not competing. I just want something with some more power than I currently have.
I’d like to hear about any experience with either and just general opinions. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Maybe , but Vortex has an excellent warranty.
I had an issue with an Athlon Argos BTR 10-40X56 and Athlon replaced it with a brand new Gen2. In the price range of scopes the OP is asking about I'd go with the Athlon. I have Vortex scopes and love them but at the entry/lower end Athlon is gonna be better than Vortex.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up choosing the Athlon BTR 6-24 mainly because of the shipping time with Amazon and learning about how they honor their warranty.
I’ll probably end up with a Match Pro in the future as I plan to buy another .22 rifle soon, still undecided on which rifle I’ll buy.
The reason I was in a hurry is because lately I’ve been shooting a lot of USBR targets at 25 yards and 6x5’s at 50 yards with a Mueller target dot scope. Usually when I’m at the short range a couple friends have been shooting .22 at the rifle range. They’ve been urging me to join them. Now that I know what Ammo my rifle likes I am ready to try long range, but the Mueller has no hash marks for drop.
