Hello I have a Savage 10TR (http://www.snipershide.com/shooting/snipers-hide-bolt-action-rifles/175349-savage-10tr-308-what-thing.html) on it's way to me, and I'm looking to put a bipod on it. I'm thinking a Atlas bipod, as it has some really nice features. Upon some research, though, It would appear as though I need a Picatinny rail system to fix it to my stock. I would like to avoid any permanent mods to the stock (also no interested in replacing the stock in the near future) so I'm wondering if there is a rail system that would take advantage of the double swivel on the stock and eliminate drilling, or would I have to use a rail system like on their site and drill a hole into the stock?

I've also considered Harris bipods, and they are option 2, I just like the features of the Atlas better.

Thanks in advance,

James

You will have to measure the distance between studs on your stock.

Bell& Carlson is 2.5 inches (center to center)
I believe H&S is 2 inches
I believe McMillan 3 inches

perhaps contact Seekins, they might know
