I have a chance to by a brand new Atlas V7 bipod with a ADM mount installed..they are asking $250...would this be a smart move or would it be smarter to wait for the v8.. The v8 will take some time to get with the back log but I can have the 7 now. Any sugestions.

Take your pick...you can wait and buy the V8 when it becomes available as a complete unit, or you can go ahead and buy the V7 you found, use it for the time being (especially if you don't have another bipod you can currently run) and get it upgraded to a V8 at a later date.
