Rifle Scopes ATN Daytime scope

Re: ATN Daytime scope

I had one once. My .308's recoil would knock it off zero. Accidentally get it to hold zero? Try a box test to check the tracking. hahahahaha

With the big objective lens, it would make a cheap learning telescope, maybe. But a rifle-scope? no way.

Re: ATN Daytime scope

From my experiance:

Yellow tinted scope glass:

According to them: Specially designed to cut down haze and enhance clarity in bright sun

According to me: mmm found some reject glass in the trash at the chinese factory.

End result:
Wish I'd saved the $800 for a better scope, still hoping to mount it on something I want to sell locally and hope the browsers at the gun store are wowed by the big lens.

Re: ATN Daytime scope

I like 'em, have not had any problems like the other posters:

Holds zero well, even after 4 years.

Re: ATN Daytime scope

Yea, not worth it. I picked one of their fixed power scopes for real cheap out of curiosity.

It is like looking through a jar of urine. The parallax adjustment is cosmetic and the illuminated reticle blinds at any level. I was constantly chasing a zero the one day I took it out. You would be well advised to stay away, imo.

Re: ATN Daytime scope

Haha, jar of urine. My 5x60 has that yellow tint. I read from some users that this coating is for contrast adjustment in bright light, but from my experience, it enhances images in low light conditions. I was able to stay on the shooting line at dusk long after everyone else had retreated to the back benches and before the night lights were turned on.

Too bad about the wandering zero. No such problems for me:
