I tried to sight in a neighbor's new rifle with one. It didn't survive long enough to get it sighted in- spinning the turrets didn't move the reticle.

I had one of those. I got the fixed 5x, it was a POS. A good friend bought the 2-6x, it was a POS as well.
If you want a really durable optic with very good glass at a decent price. Get the IOR 4x tactical. I have one and it has survived a ton a beatings and always holds a zero. It has never given me anything but great performance. http://swfa.com/IOR-4x24-Tactical-30mm-Rifle-Scope-P6756.aspx

I ordered a recieved one a long time ago, was so horrible I sent it back after only looking thru it.Glass was so fuzzy it looked like it was smeared with vaseline,and it had a distinct blue tint to everything viewed.Garbage in my opinion....
