Attach my FAST helmet to Eberlestock bag

Hey gang.

Trying to figure out a good way to attach my helmet (with Norotos mount) to the back of my Phantom bag without it bouncing around. I can use the chin strap but A)I don't trust it by itself and B)it bounces all over. Want it secure but not complex. I have a couple ideas, thought I'd try to tap into the Collective first.

Eberlestock sells accessory straps you can use, that should work well.

get some elastic straps? Tie them to the MOLLE in an X grid fashion? attach the chinstrap and secure with the elastic bands....thats what i do with my mountain bike helmet on my camelback so it doesnt flip and flop all over the place.

i just have a carabiner looped through the molle on the outside and hang my ops core from the chin straps on it. yeah it flops a bit but doesn't annoy me enough to do something about it. if i did decide to do something, it would probably be to use the velco that's already attached to the helmet and just put a patch of the hook side on the pack close to the carabiner

Here is an easy solution for you. Bungee cord(s). You can either use the typical store bought ones with hooks on them to attach to the molle in conjunction with the chin strap or you can buy the actual bungee cord that is shoe lace diameter and weave yourself a bungee cord beaver tail with a cord lock to hold your helmet/jacket etc.

unless you have a real need for a helmet i would dump it and use the crye night cap if youre using it for nods which i assume you are. problem solved
