A friend and i are interested in attending the SHOT show this year and i have gotten mixed opinions. The website says that the show is strictly for dealers etc and you cant get in without proper credentials. But then i hear from everyone that has attended that if you pay anyone can get in. I definitely dont want to make plans to go to Vegas and not get in. All inputs and experiences appreciated. Thanks.

Should be open to dealers, distributors and press (which is a loophole some get in with)...

When you try to register on SHOT shows website, there is a specific page for NSSF registration. Once you click on it, it is stated that "Individual Memberships" can not register for the SHOT show.

When you try to register on SHOT shows website, there is a specific page for NSSF registration. Once you click on it, it is stated that "Individual Memberships" can not register for the SHOT show.

If you are friendly with your local FFL, you could ask to get in with it. I just did the registration for the shop and got a couple people in with a guest pass.
