I have an HS Precision/Rem. action in .300 Win mag. I'm using a Bushnell ERS 3.5 12 X 50 scope W/ H59 reticle and zero stop.

Mostly I'll be loading Berger 230 gr, Hybrid Tactical pills. About 2800 to 2900 fps. MV

Will my 40 MOA NF Unimount and my scope adjustment be enough on a zero MOA rail?
After all the scope has a 34 mm tube with 25+ mils of adjustment and the H59 10 mil hold-over reticle.

you are only going to need 8.5 mills for 1000 yards running a load like that according to strelok, so 20 moa is more than enough (with a 20 moa base and that kinda load you can get to 1200 with 10 mills) so you wont have any adjustment needed out to 1200 yards, after that you would need to start adjusting, still pretty sweet.

Thanks guys, for doing my math. My math gene was damaged - maybe too much Jack Daniels as a baby.

So with that 40 mil NF Unimount I may well be way over what I need. Hmmm. Optics Planet, get ready for a return.

Just took another look at the data. What powder you going to use? I tried 240gr, thought about 230s but they weren't available. The 240s just about sent me to the hospital at 2,600fps without a brake.
