I just recently picked up an AXMC with a SA conversion running a 6.5 creed currently. I'm having issues with the double stack mag feeding properly. Two things are happening:

    1) The rounds seems really loose in here, almost like they are binding and there isn't enough force upward on them.

    2) The bolt just rides over the top of them as a result and isn't catching the back of the round.

I had the exact same issue in my badger 2008 when I was trying to run AW mags in there. I like running the double stack AW mags because of size, but I'm wondering if I should just switch over to some double stack single feed mags instead like the ARC mags.

Yea they're AW mags with the hook. I checked that out first because I know if you're running AI mags without the hook them sometimes you get that sag in the front. This is a 2017 manf. with hardly any action on it. I'll see if I can get some pictures here shortly.

lol yeaaaaaa there is some truth to that. Threw my last ones out at my last match because one of my 12 round mags would only hold 8, and the other one jammed more often than it fed.

I use AW mags in an AT and there is some upward force on the cartridges. It's not overly strong.

I don't have any experience with the AXMC but does it use an AW type Mag with the double feed? For Short Action?

Is this with multiple mags, or just one? Could be an issue with the magwell adapter if it's not one isolated magazine.

I had a similar issue with the bolt riding over rounds in one of the 3 AX mags I had. I determined it was just that one mag, sent it in to AINA, and they gave me a new one which worked 100%.

I have the new aluminum one. Stand by, getting some pictures now. I've only got one AW mag for the gun and a couple single stack 5 rounders. The single stack ones work just fine in there.

I'm almost wondering if I bend out the front of the feed lips a little bit if that will help hold the round more evenly and keep the back from flopping around.

I had this issue with my AT when I swapped reloading presses. I didn’t reset my dies and the OAL was too long only by a whisker. It was enough for the rounds to be too long to load horizontally. With a slight angle nose up they loaded but didn’t feed.
