Its a Border barrel which is or at least was a major supplier of the factory UK barrels for AI. I (as many others have) seen what these Border barrels are capable of. I have a AW that I am rebarreling now and even though I have had many American barrels Krieger, Hart, Bartlein, Rock, Broughton and they have all been great I wanted to go with a Border.

I was impressed when I read that article. Seems like an experienced driver with very good rifle. He had set the record in 2009 with the same rifle/barrel correct?

I noticed the part about hitting an egg at 500 yards. My brother and one of our friends used to shoot eggs at 500 yards with 308's. With an accurate rifle eggs at 500 yards isn't really that hard.

I'm not a benchrest shooter but for tac work the AI action is far superior to anything else out there. Imho, there isn't another action that can touch it.

My Other scope Was a 12x16x56 Hako, To be honest it is a really good scope

in the comp you only get one shot,, and if you hit the egg with that one shot you win 100 pounds
so that is a 1/4 moa game, a mix of skill and luck, a 1 moa capability would average a hit every 10 rounds

Thats true with the only getting one shot in competition. But my buddy Lucas once he was on hit 12 or 13 in a row at 588 yards with his 243.
