AWM (338LM) and AXMC bolt interchangeable?

Has anyone tried to see whether an AXMC 338 MC bolt can be used in an AWM rifle? I remember reading this somewhere but don't recall the details.

Don’t know about in an AWM, but I emailed AINA a while back about using a 300wm AXMC bolt in an AX338 to “convert” it and they said it would be fine. Might shoot them an email.

I think they may have a different lug pattern. I'm sure different lengths as the AXMC is a much longer action.

The AWM bolt is also smaller in diameter.

I spoke with Tom Irwin (AINA). The diameter of AWM bolt is 20 mm, while AXMC 22 mm. That answered my question. Dave and Skunk are correct.
