AX Chassis- Lets see them!

Here is one put together with the assistance from Mark and the crew at AO (most pleasurable experience I have ever had with any smith/retailer, etc.).

im waiting on the action... when i get it and the build is complete i will post some pics u definetely will like... tick tock...

I goofed around with both and both are reaaal nice, but I ended up purchasing the AX chassis. I thought the fit was better and stock hinge was a little beefier. The carbon fiber XLR is super sexy though...

I love this chassis. Im looking at purchasing this or the XLR. Has any one had experience with both?

I just got it this past week and got everything repainted and assembled yesterday. So far I'm really digging the chassis and hope to go zero it this afternoon at PNTC.

Very nice. What did you use for the paint job and what colors? What did you put on your cheekrest?

Rattle can from Home Depot and Walmart.

Rustoleum Camo Khaki, Brown, and Green
Rustoleum Satin Taupe, Oregano, and Pebble.

On the cheekpiece it's sticky back foam from the crafts section at Walmart, it comes in packs of 6 x 9 sheets with multiple colors. I'd bought a pack of it to use on some of my daughter's stuff and kept the brown and black pieces for myself.

81sfo what quick detach swivel mount do you have there?

Nevermind, I saw that it was the AI rail from your post in another thread showing it from the side. I was hoping it was something compatible with the AI's keymod rail that wasn't the AI rail.

I cut 2.4 lbs from the AX to the PRS1 but I also switched from the Spuhr mount to NF Ultra lights. The PRS1 is 3.8ish lbs and the AX is 5.5ish lbs.

I just got my chassis. Pics to come as all the bits arrive. It was missing the long 180mm rail on top that is shown in all the retail pics. Was this the case for anybody else?

Reviving this thread. Anyone have any cerakote suggestions to match Pale Brown?

Quick question: Who makes a good cheek pad that will fit an AX cheek riser?
It's an odd, non-rectangular, shape.

I had to tear mine off for my AM at the Grind last weekend so it'd fit his face. TiA.

I like the Hoptic as well. They give you two.
