Looking to get a 308 barrel. Since I have a heavy magnum barrel, I'm looking to get a .308 for most of my informal target shooting between 100 and 300 yards. I'll be using FGMM 168 or 175 as a starting point since that tends to be the most precise in my other 308's. Looking to get the most precise barrel for this use. I'd like to have it just long enough to clear the handguard so I can have a lighter/seamless suppressed package, but will go with a standard 20" AI barrel if it means that it will be more precise than something shorter of another brand. So far I see proof research, AI, Bartlein, and another I can't think of right now. Which should I get for max precision? I'm used to shooting a Sako TRG22 so I'd like it to be at least that good so I could potentially sell it off to recoup some cash.
