Re: Az LRPRS 11/21 Monthly Match Results

you never do stop do you. LOl 5 shot s in 60 seconds is very different then taking my time to shoot a group. anyway, Im done arguing. Had fun today, only brought 50 rounds (turns out it was a 100 round match) and shot 43, but had fun anyway.

(edited content, dont wanna give away details to the match)... sorry about that guys.

Re: Az LRPRS 11/21 Monthly Match Results

5 shots in 60 seconds from prone with prep time would be considered by most as "easy" conditions, but whatever.....

Thanks for putting on a good match Matt, I shared the concerns I had with some of the things with Scott.

Nice shooting Momar!!

The SW Ammunition ammo that I shot with my 308 did very well, too bad the trigger puller didn't do it justice.
Dead middle of the pack is about par condsidering I wasn't zeroed for the ammo then switched to another rifle/ammo combo that the rifle wasn't zero'd for....but I was just there as a warm body, we could have used more shooters for a real run through.

Welcome Angelica-good job, and I was glad to see the FNG girl shot every stage whether the was comfy with it or not, unlike some other folks.

Next month there will be no "not shooting" of stages-you either shoot the match in its entirety or pack up and leave.....

If this is directed at me, well maybe you should tell everyone ahead of time how many rounds to bring. Maybe an email list how Brad does it for the Prescott match?

Re: Az LRPRS 11/21 Monthly Match Results

Sounds like you guys had fun today. Wish I could be there, but won't be able for a while. Will see you guys at Gunsite.

Re: Az LRPRS 11/21 Monthly Match Results

Felipe, please delete your post.

Matches for the next 3 months are prep for the AZ TPRC 2011 (big match) in February. Any info about them are not to be posted on a public forum.

If you have questions please pm someone involved.

Thanks.

Re: Az LRPRS 11/21 Monthly Match Results

Yay!!! I came in 3rd! Thank you all for welcoming my friend, Angelica. It was her very first match AND she's only been shooting, oh, well... less than a week now.

She had a great time and finally realized why I don't shut about shooting, like, ever.

We don't advertise the three months coming into the Annual TPRC match becuase we tend to try out stages that will appear in the big match.
Competitors registered for the big match and their known associates are excluded from these trial runs.

Re: Az LRPRS 11/21 Monthly Match Results

WOW.
So felipe actually showed up.
Did you guys have your little side bet where he shot some sub 1/10moa slow fire groups?

1 minute for 5 shots is a nice relaxing pace.
I usually do my 10 dot drills in 1 minute to 1 minute 10 seconds with a reload.

Here is a target for anyone that wants to practice 5 dot or 10dot drills:
www.caprc.com/targets/10dot.pdf

When we do that at out club, we do it in 2 minutes which is lots of time for experienced people, but it pushes the newbies pretty good.

Re: Az LRPRS 11/21 Monthly Match Results

I like that target Randall. Hope you don't mind if I practice with that... and 2 minutes seems like a looooong time so does that mean I'm "experienced" now, because I still like claiming to be a newbie.

The guy that kicked over your rifle was, well, lucky he only got scolded. And obviously new because he apologized to me for pelting me with brass.

Doesn't mean I can't still claim to be a newbie though! Even if none of you believe it anymore. Also, are you teaching a Slings 101 classes anytime soon? Pretty sure I could still use some help there...

If you keep beating them every month, nobody is going to want to teach you anything!

Yeah Randall Im not a troll, I just haven't been able to make a match before yesterday... 1 minute for 5 shots wasnt too bad, but to shoot super tight groups you dont position yourself, load a round, steady your breath and squeeze the trigger in 12 seconds. Sorry but I doubt anyone can shoot that tight under these circumstances. Now I will say this, Im done claiming groups. too much drama and I just want to shoot and learn from the wealth of knowledge that the local shooters here posses, I witnessed some great shooting yesterday, and would love to learn from it, if anyone asks how I shoot from now on ill say "minute of duck".

To all who I have insulted and gotten in disputes with, Im sorry to have gotten you riled up and would really like to just move on and start fresh.
