The spotting scope pic was somewhere between 32-45 on my spotter (didn't pay much attention to where it was at)

Seriously?! Thats like 150+ MOA of elevation needed, what scopes were they using? Most scopes don't have that type of range. A mile shot with a 223 is impressive!

After doing some quick calculations, on my vortex viper with a 308 I would have to aim on the lower reticle bar and max out elevation with a 20MOA rail.

I did get them Cory. I am in the process of getting my notes updated.

The 223 shot was a "miracle". None the less, several spotters called it. The mile was the icing on the cake. We also had a 308 gas gun make the shot.

We are gonna be creating a "AZPRC MILE CLUB" to our website within the next few days. It will include all shooters that made hits at 1760yds this last weekend. We will try to make the mile target available at most matches, but not all. It will be broken down into at least two classes, one is shot with their match rifle and the other will be shot with any rifle. It should be good for bragging. Rules will be outlined on the site shortly.

He maxed elevation and aimed at the ridgline, it took 20 tries but he got it on the last one.The first 5 were way off, the next 10 were close and the last 4 just missed by almost nothing, just wind. The last one was a square hit. It took so long for the rounds to impact that he had time to fire and then find the target to see where the round landed.

It was badass no matter how you cut it.
