Gunsmithing B&C A2 with Flush Cups?

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone has added flush cups to their Bell and Carlson A2 stock, and if they have, if they could post a picture.

The reason I ask is that I'm having trouble figuring out how I might add a flush cup to the forearm. It's just a weird shape for one. Either it needs to be mounted really low in the forearm for a flush fit, low enough that I would be worried about its strength, or the arm needs to be reshaped so that it can actually be flush in the middle.

Hey I'm just about to give this a shot. How did it work out for you? Can you post a pic of the result? I'm concerned with hitting the aluminum as well as the odd angle of the stock.
thanks

I did hit the aluminum on the forend but it worked well. I drilled the hole the a little smaller than the flush cup and then used a tap and cut threads in the hole. Then I beveled the outside edge just a bit. Marinetex the threads and put an allen wrench in the flush cup with tape wrapped around it until it filled the hole. Thread it in and remove the allen and smooth the edges.
