I am strongly eyeing a B&C A5 since I don't want to wait for an AICS. I'm wondering if anyone makes, or has a solution to, making the cheek piece field adjustable? I use a Karsten now, and I like a very high cheek and some people I shoot with will drop it down while they are shooting. Since the B&C requires tools, this could be a problem for me. Anyone know of any thumbscrews like the AI? or some other solution to make the cheek quick adjust? I'd really appreciate it.

I'd have to look into this, but I think those adj screws are beveled, they tighten up just as the tip of the screw hits the cheek piece ram. There's a ton of knobs, or knob fixtures out there, just match the thread pattern. But I'm not sure you wouldn't want it bushed to take up the slack. If you're willing to do the leg work, and spend the money, you could probably make something nice and functional.

I don't know you're shooting situation, but I like to let other people shoot my stuff also, but anymore, if they have to mess with the configuration of the gun or scope, eyepiece, they don't need to shoot it.

This stock here is 100.00 more, but almost the same thing, but easily adjustable, about the same weight.

i have the B and C A5 stock with the adjustable cheek and butt on my 308. it is alittle heavy but i do love it, I just carry tools to work on the rifle in my shooting bag. just encase something goes wrong or comes lose. i can fix it.

Thanks for the replies guys. I normally wouldn't worry about letting other people use my rifle, but I'm trying to get my dad and brother more involved in competitive shooting. I also don't have many choices for stocks, because this is for a Savage. I have tools in my truck to adjust the cheek, I'm just hoping someone out there has an idea to make it much simpler and quick, like the knobs on my Karsten.

After this, I realize my post was pretty lame, being a Savage, and family! On the lighter side, it would be a perfect time to give the "old man" a DeNozo slap, followed by a, quit fuckin with my shit pops, you know we've all wanted to do it!

Slick is on to something, the knob wouldn't be hard to make, just getting someone to tool up and make a few, I'm sure you're not the first to look into this.
