Got back from over seas about a month ago. I have 12 confirmed IED finds and some bumps from the two that found me first. Got back home and had all the parts to my rifle waiting for me to put it together and this is what she looks like.

sorry, wasn't trying to brag. honestly. just proud of the things I've done. I'm the only person in my family to serve and i'm proud to have served our country and take care of the people i was with. i've also never been made to feel bad because of it.

ah, ok, still new to this forum stuff. its heavier that s$*% at about 15 lbs. the bell and carlson stock is a little different getting used to but my sight pictures are right on with out needing a cheek piece. the rings might be a little high but jive pretty well with where my eye sits.

So, question BTW... I'm building almost the exact same rifle. What did you do with the bolt? Did you have the original and add a magnum bolt head? Ejector? How does it feed from a center feed? Did you have to change the magazine?
I'm working on a 300 WSM based on a 10FP 308 that I am stripping down, hence my questions about the bolt and mag.

actually everything fell together very nice with it, the rifle started as just a gxp3 (i think) package rife with with scope in .300wsm that i got a hell of a deal on. i stripped it down to the action and took the pencil profile barrel. i lapped the lugs with the wheeler kit i got from midway and watching the video on youtube a couple of times. i got the stock from bell and carlson which actually took a lot of looking cause of the new magnum screw spacing in a short action, i think it was like 4.1 or 4.4 or something. took the old internal box out of the old stock, dropped it in the b&c. i had to use some trail and error to cut down and re-thread the screws so when they were torqued down they would sit JUST under flush of where they come through the action and start getting in the way of the bolt path and lug paths respectively. if you get a b&c let me know and i'll take my mic to mine and tell you what length mine are.

Glad you made it back safe bro. I am out in Afghanistan right now. Make sure you keep an eye out on your TBI, that shit can come back to haunt you.

just got back from the range for the first time. i used some 180gr cxp3 winchester stuff to get it sighted in and that was averaging around 2980fps. i switched over to four other groups of 210gr berger vlds that i was playing around with seating depth. i had two testers building up to the "max" load of 55.5gr of IMR4350 but they were only moving about 2450-2500fps, no signs of pressure what so ever so i might try some reloader 22 or bumping up the IMR a little. suggestions welcome. after about 40 rounds my shoulder was killing me. its a 26" barrel.

i wasn't sure if you measure from the edges or middle of the hole, still measured like .88 at its widest. all of them are four round groups. looks like she likes a little jump to the grooves. top right is longest then it goes in order clockwise.
