backpack to hold 2 guns & gear

i have been looking at differn't rifle cases for a while now and after todays 3 gun match i have decided that i am in more need of a molle based backpack that will hold 2 long guns. i have been looking at the eberlestock gunslingers and would like to know if that rifle sleave will handle 2 rifles. what are you guys running for packs, and any sugestions to lead me in another direction.

The Eberlestock packs with a built-in scabbard, along with an add-on side scabbard (shotgun or scoped rifle scabbard depending on your needs) will work well unless you want to go the cart route instead of a pack.

I use my Eberlestock Phantom for all my matches. I have used it for 3 Gun as well. I didnt have the side scabbard last year so I just strapped it to the side using the the attached buckles. The side scabbard is the way to go.

The Phantom carries a lot of ammo and gear that you need for those type of matches just realize that it will get heavy...once it's on your back its fine but it is heavy to pick up with ammo and two weapons.

My pack goes everywhere and may be one of the most utilized piece of gear I own.

I have the eberlestock G4 operator and I really like it. It is very big though. It will carry anything I want to from extra clothes to rain gear to tactical gear and everything in between. It also has room for three bladders for those long days with no water available. Build in rifle scabbard is very nice. For 50 buck or something you can get an attachment rifle scabbard for a secondary rifle. You can also attach the rifle to your pack and strap it down. That would work fine as well.

There are similiarities & differences in the layout & design between the two packs.
Similiarities:
--internal capacity in the main bay;
--numerous interior & exterior molle webbing attachment points;

Differences:
--removable, non-integrated scabbard/drag bag on Phantom;
--vertical side pockets on Phantom (hydration compatible);
--front access only with the Phantom, front & top access with the GS II;
--weight: the Phantom is 3 lbs. heavier than the GS II;

Both packs are well thought out & designed for both military, tactical, and sporting applications. Which one is best for you is going to depend on your particular application(s). The Shotgun Side Scabbard accessory from Eberlestock is going to perfectly integrate with the GS II on either side. The vertical side pockets on the Phantom are going to force you to rethink where to mount the scabbard (assuming that you're wanting the Shotgun side scabbard in the first place for your secondary weapon).

as a phantom owner, my vote is for the phantom.

The Phantom option is a good one.

The other option is to get the Eberlee drag bag it will hold your carbine and shotgun. it has internal and add on pouches to put stuff in and you can wear it like a pack!!

there is a nice thick piece of foam that will protect the guns from rubbing on each other in it!

After playing with alot of packs hands down I think the gunslinger 2 is worth the extra money over the gunslinger. And u think the final decision will be the GS 2 with a shotgun scabbard add on
