Any comment?

Maybe Something like this could be done?

My M2008 will be sitting in one of these as soon as someone decides to pick up my Manners T4A...

That's the one I found on Mark's site. Someone got a heck of a deal!

Re: Badger Action in AX Chassis?

Had a talk with Marty...

Gen 2 Chassis are able to be inletted, Gen 1 are NOT able.

Gen 1:

Gen 2:

Notice the difference at the rear of the hand-guard

...Also, as seen in the photo's provided by BigJoe, the bolt handle recess between the action and the skins does not line up, this is cosmetic only and can be fixed by purchasing a set of AIAX (not AICS AX) skins.

Re: Badger Action in AX Chassis?

Also, for anyone running an AX chassis with any kind of action...

I've been told by Mile High Shooting that the AX will accept AIAW magazines.

There is also an AIAX magazine (looks to be double stacked like the AIAW... not sure what the difference is?)

There is ALSO an AICS AX magazine (looks to be SINGLE stack like the AICS magazines, I'm not sure what the difference is here either?)

I already have enough AIAW mag's to serve my purpose so I'll be using them, but anyone know why the re-redesigned magazines? It's a PITA keeping all this crap straight...

The ax mags have a lip in the front, think AK47ish. The older mags work in newer chassis but newer mags must have the lip folded in to work in the older ones.

I like the M2008 as much as the next guy, however the M2008 would make a very large and heavy 223. The bolt travel rearward is very long and its just a big action for the .223 in my opinion.

Thanks for the input Mark, I'm going back and forth on actions for a 223 build. It would have a MTU or straight tube at 20" , so it's going to be heavy either way. Maybe a Alpha 11 w/ LBC Mod would do

I've got a 260 reamer I'm about to send your way for a rifle you're building with a crazy snake flute barrel...
