Gunsmithing Badger BM Inletting question

There is a stock I am looking at with a Badger M-4 inlet, is this the same footprint as a M-5?

Not quite. The M5 is a bit wider than the M4 (the sides of the inlet are more parallel, whereas the M4 tapers more)

It will work if material needs to be removed, I didn't want to get into having to add material back.
