So I have the last part to my first long range gun and it does not fit. I tried to place a badger break on my gun. It seems there are three step downs in side this break. I can get it over the first and not past the second. To make contact with the threads. I am I measured both and my barrel is about .10 thicker than the break.

Do I mill the barrel down or the break. Also how flexiable is the break at its opening. It is slip, can I pry on the split to get it to slip over. Thanks for your help up front

Re: badger break

I assume you are talking about an FTE?? you need to have a primary and secondary tenon, the second tenon needs to be a slip fit inside the clamping section of the brake. You need to turn down a secondary tenon to fit up inside the brake. dont forget to open up the bore of the brake!
