I've got an HS DBM in a Manners T stock, and I'm probably going to replace it with a Badger for the longer mag space.
Can the HS inlet be milled out for the Badger metal?

Re: Badger DBM inlet in a Manners T

Anybody?

I'm wanting to know if the HS inlet is smaller than the Badger inlet so that it can be milled out without leaving any spaces or gaps. The HS fits in a standard 700 BDL floorplate inlet.

Thanks.

Yep, I think I just said that.
Is the Badger DBM sysyem a drop-in fit in the 700 BDL inlet?

Re: Badger DBM inlet in a Manners T

I'm fairly certain that some minor milling will be necessary to make it fit properly. So, to answer your question, the Badger DBM will not just drop in the 700 BDL inlet. I did mine easily with a dremmel. Just take your time. Most gunsmiths can do it for you. Good luck.

Yes fw707, you are correct about the BDL and HS inlet. The BO is larger and will require fitting (milling). Badger has a downloadable template if you want to see the exact size.

BO M5 Template

That's exactly what I wanted to know.
I just didn't do a very good job asking the question.

I was just wanting to be sure there was enough material around the HS/BDL inlet to allow the Badger to be fitted.

Thanks everybody for the replies!

Re: Badger DBM inlet in a Manners T

The Badger M5 metal is definitely not a drop in. You will need to have the stock milled to fit it. Have it milled. The dremel will work, but a milling machine will do a cleaner finish unless you are very skilled with the dremel.

It'll go back to Manners for the inletting.

If you are going to send it back to Manners for the inletting you may want to talk to them about their mini chassis. I believe it is made by Badger for Manners.
