Newbie here...I'm on to my first Rem 700 build and I haven't found the answer, but I'm sure I haven't looked hard enough....

Can you inlet stocks with aluminum blocks for the wider DBM's? Iv'e seen pics of Bell & Carlson stocks running what looks to be the Badger/M5 style bottom metals (with the AR style mag well) and that's exactly what I want...but I have been told (most notably by employees of a certain stocky website) that aluminum block stock should never be inlet for the wider style DBM's. Am I missing something or am I being duped by photoshop? I know most will tell me to just bite it and go with McMillan/Manners/AICS, but I just don't have the $$$ to drop a G on a stock. Iv'e read good things about B&C, but I also want to run mags with the Badger style bottom metal. Thanks for any help

While I don't have experience with this specifically, they are probably suggesting not to do it because it will void whatever warranty you get from B&C. I doubt there is any functional reason you can't do it. I have seen lots of people inlet HS Precision stocks for Badger units.

GAP will inlet your B&C or other aluminum bed stock for Badger DBM. Can't/won't do Hogue overmold or other plastic stocks. Many try but they flex too much, the results will never be precision.
