This is my newly received Badger Build in 7WSM. I got this thru a fellow SH member on here. He had his gunsmith working on two almost identical caliber Badger rifles. He wanted to sell one and contacted me, I fell into his trap and had to buy. Very nice rifle. It looks great, his gunsmith Robert did excellent work. First smith outside of my small circle of go to guys that I have bought from. Bolt was done by Kampfeld Custom. Its threaded for my YHM QD Phantom. Also, running the USO SN3.

Havent shot it yet but I will the next chance I get. Here's the pics!

You mean McMillan?

Re: Badger M2008 build - 7WSM

Looking at the stock again, it does look like a T4 front end. I really can't tell with the rear since there is a stock pack and shadow in the way.

Very nice! Did your smith open up the bolt face without any problems? I have 2 Badger short actions sitting and I would like to have a WSM done. At the time of the purchase, the WSMs weren't available yet. Or is that a llong action? It kind of looks like a long.

Thanks

same as me brotha! I might just keep it like that or duracoat the barrel black.
The action and bolt were Nitride coated. So dont want to cover that up

Re: Badger M2008 build - 7WSM

Do you find that the bolt feel is any different with the fluting when you're operating it?

Curious if it reduces friction much or if it more/less smooth...

Looks great-

Shawn

Re: Badger M2008 build - 7WSM

it feels about the same as the ones GAP did for me. I would say it lightens the bolt a little bit but I am not noticing a huge difference. I think its more for looks then anything. And damn does it look cool!!!!
