Gunsmithing Badger M5 DBM into a B&C Medalist....

Re: Badger M5 DBM into a B&C Medalist....

Ship it off. You will need a mill if you want to do it yourself as the B&C has a aluminum bedding block. I had mine done by a local smith and he used a mill for most of the work and a dremel to put the finishing touches on. Without a mill, I doubt you could do it.

Alrght guys, thanks for the input, sounds like more than I want to tackle myself.

Lets say I have a friend who is a machinist, has a big ass CNC and lathe in his shop, is a SOT and gun nut, has built many post samples and suppressors, but has never inletted a stock like I need done, should he be able to figure it out without much issue. He is a very good machinist and I trust him with all my other gunsmithing needs, but haven't asked him to do this just yet. Should it be fairly simple for him?

yeah theoretically, Badger supplies a drawing of the dimensions that need to be cut into the stock as well as the depth of the cuts, so if he is good then i dont see why it would be a problem for him to do it relatively easy
