Other then the thread size, is the Badger Ordnance FTE Brake a "one size fits all" from 30 cal and smaller or does the brake itself have to be machined out for certain calibers?

I plan on putting it on a 7mm rem mag , or possibly a 300 wm, will it work for both? or will the bore dia be to big to be effective for 7mm?

Will the 5/8-24 be fine on a Mtu contour barrel? 12.5" rear of the barrel and the muzzle would be at .93"

Or would I have to go with a skinner barrel?

Any time you use an FTE you have to turn the last 1.5" or so down to a sraight .850" or so. The MTU will work just fine.

Better accuracy? If properly installed the brake won't effect accuracy, it might improve it but I wouldn't count on that. As for reducing recoil, what caliber are you shooting? Brakes of similar design will pretty much give the same reduction, so much so your shoulder won't be able to tell the difference.
