Gunsmithing Badger ordnance M4-M5 inletting difference

I currently have an m4 bottom on my rifle stock. Can I purchase an m5 and bolt it up as a direct fit or is there a difference in the inletting between the two

There is a difference,I’m pretty sure you can go to the m5 but it will require inletting to suit.

There’s a difference, I had a stock inlet for M4 and it needed some widening on the sides for a M5 DBM. If you have it inlet for the M5, I’d guess the M4 would fit with a small gap on each side..
