I am looking to order a set of badger rings to use on my new rem 700 5r LA. I am planning to go with a vortex pst scope, 30mm tube and 50mm objective that measures 2.26" outside diameter.
When I work the formula found in the sticky at the top of this page, it look like I will have .1925" of clearance with medium badger rings. However, this does not take into account the 20moa cant of the USO rail.
Does anyone know if the medium badger rings will work in my application?
Also, are the standard badger rings enough for a .300WM or should I look at the max 50's?
Thanks
