Where should the ideal balance point be on a bolt gun?

Forgive the newb question please . Are you saying muzzle heavy is good because the rifle will stay put while being supported by the forearm with no input by the shooter ? Thank you .

He’s saying most prs shooters prefer the balance point just ahead of the magwell.

This allows a few things:

It will sit on a bag with very little influence from shooter

Close enough to magwell to load into bag if needed

When free recoiling (or a variation of) it’s balance is under the optic so you can place downward pressure into the bag

Like it or not, it’s a technique that has its purposes.

We can’t be arrogant when people don’t hit the target in a way we don’t like. That’s the point if it.

Just like any other technique, it can be done properly and improperly. And it can be used at the right and wrong times.

I know. I was more of a joke, because so much talk of people 'hatein' on free recoilers.
