So i dialed up a cheap ballistic calculator app and punched in all the known variables for my .338lm i know the round is traveling at 3015 FPS with a 300gr projo that has a BC of .419 the calculator is telling me to expect a 370 inch drop at 1000 yards? does this seem correct? i only ask because thats only about 30inches less than my standard .308 at the same range....

With that low a BC, that's about right. Sounds like a round nose soft point, and 3000 is pretty darn fast for a 300gr bullet from a 338LM.
