Barnes Banded Solids?

I don't know exactly what you mean by banded solids? the bands cut into the bearing surface? IIRC it was to reduce copper fouling and gave an increase in velocity. Read something somewhere, sometime.
I have never shot that ammo. They also have 7 mag loaded under their LR ammo tab
