The short of it is most barrels, less they're a custom barrel or a factory one that was lapped will need a break-in procedure. How that's done is of significant debate.
basically a few rounds then clean then a few more rounds and clean....do this until it's very easy to clean. After that shoot unit accuracy goes to crap.
I've had barrels that only needed 5 rounds and I've had them that took better than 100 rounds before the barrel settled down.
don't make it a chore...go shoot and just have the cleaning you do while you BS with other shooters.
