Barrel break yes or no

Hi everyone my name is Tom. I recently bought mya browning x-bolt max target/varmint in the 6.5creedmoor. I’m curious on what everyone thinks on barrel break in. What’s procedures should I take? thanks so much
There’s a guy on here that has posted video. Think his name or one of them was nobody! Maybe another member here can quickly post the video for you.

Always clean a new barrel before you go to the range for the first time.

Next use a clean unused bullet and send it down the barrel. Repeat step 2 until you run out of rounds for the day. Enjoy.

Your title says "break" a barrel. I got all excited, cause I'm good at breaking shit. I just knew I could help.
Then my sinnical English major side, said, "Psst...I think he wants to "brake" a barrel." Then that was a kinda letdown cause, brakes are like assholes, there's lots of different shapes and sizes, but most of them work pretty much the same.

Then....I read the post, and I really got butthurt.
"Break in"
Well to say I was crestfallen is an understatement.
For the first month, take it out of the safe every day and clean it...
Now the next month, every day you take it out of the safe, shoot one round, clean bore, and repeat the next day. Next month, you do two shots, next month 3, and so on for a year. The beginning of the second year, you can just go crazy and shoot it all you want. You should have completely cleaned those pesky grooves out if the barrel by then.

I knew if I waited long enough there would be something we have in common. ?
