Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
It depends. If you are leaving the barrel as it is (like a stainless barrel) you can put a light coat of oil or grease to prevent it from galling. If you are going to bake it and paint it, you will pretty much want to leave it dry or oil it after its baked. If you do it before the oil will run out and ruin your paint job.
Clean the barrel tenon. I use brake cleaner and then blow it off with an air hose, light coat of grease painted on with an acid brush. If it's a stainless action I use Jet Lube 550 anti seize. Make sure the interior of the action is free of debris and the threads are clean, wipe the face of the action with Q Tip. Screw the barrel in and torque it up.
