barrel cutting

I sent in my remington 700p 26" barrel to be cut and threaded for a brake. Do I need to refinish the cut muzzle end? What about the threaded area? I don't think the barrel is stainless, will it rust?

It will rust , wax or oil it . I would re blue the area .

the rest of the barrel is parkerized. but how come the inside of the barrel doesn't rust? that's not coated
