Looking at a new barrel for .223, it is a Wilson Arms from Texas State Armory? Anybody had experience with them, good, bad, or ugly? Thanks.

I havent heard of them either...Lots of good barrels is 223 are available are you looking for a 16,18,20 or 24? Mk12 clone, SPR, Recce..ect...

What are you wanting out of your rifle?

This is what you will have to decide first.
I have a wilson on one, and really like it.
Another I put a 24" Sabre Defense fluted stainless, I use for varmint and target.

Wilson Arms makes a pot load of AR barrels and have been making them for a long time. I believe that RR used some of the barrels also that White Oak Armament uses their blanks, should be a decent enought barrel.

If I was replacing an AR 15 barrel it would be one of John Noveske's barrels. Chromed for heay use stainless for accuracy.

Have white oak armament supply you with a barrel.
They used to use wilson blanks, but now they're using shilen's I believe.

I think Furtaker_.223 makes a good point, are you looking for a short or long barrel, (16 or 24) and what do you expect out of your barrel, White Oak cuts a pretty decent chamber on their barrels.
