Gunsmithing BARREL SHANK?

I'm ordering a McMillan Edge stock for my predator Stiller action, and McMillan needs to know the shank length. What should it be? I'm putting a Lilja #2 contour barrel on it 22" in 260 caliber.

What do you want the shank length to be?? Kinda depends on what you & your smith decide it should be. I tend to like a shorter than longer shank to keep weight down and balance where it should be. I normally run 3/4" inch or so, some like it at a inch so just depends.
