Barrel speeding up after break in.

Actually, it was a brand new PVA barrel that had about 30 rounds on it when I started and about 150 rounds into shooting with Frank and class at Mifflin Pennsylvania… The barrel sped up by around 70 ft./s.

Started realizing that my dope was completely off and then I was missing target at 700 yards… Which should’ve been dead on.

Slapped the Chrono on the barrel and started getting new data for 100 yards and found out that the barrel was indeed faster and the ammo was exactly the same.

I am a hoping all you fellows are wrong. My new barrel is already 30FPS faster than the old one and it’s brand new. A bit scared. Got 67 rounds through it. As I was already faster than I wanted to be and the accuracy was there and the load was below max. Must mean that it may be time to break out the ole paper targets and loading scale and start over. (GOD Knows, I hate wasting perfectly good powder, bullets, primers, cases and barrels doing the same thing my $2 hole punch from walmart can do especailly when there is so much steel down range, just begging to be wacked).
