I've just purchased an Anschutz 64 Sporter Benchrest rifle and am really loving it. I'm currently testing ammos, and I plan to bed it and tune the barrel. I've ordered a Harrell tuner from Killough. I have studied the Hopewell Method and understand it fully. However, I do have one question. What about distance? What distances have you guys used in your barrel tuning? I assume that the usual distance would be 50 yards. However, I read an article recently that recommended 20 or 25 yards to diminish atmospheric variations during the tuning process.
