I have just purchased a Brand New Barrett 82a1 50. Cal
But the barrel on top has some scratches on it and Barret said it was from being test fired.
Is it normal for the barrel to has these on it out of the box.
I haven't send another to compare.

Thanks

Owen

If I'm not mistaken, the barrel will slide back into the stock during recoil, which I'd imagine could put a few scratches on it right in front of the stock.

Yup, it's pretty normal to see some scuffs on the barrel a few inches forward of the receiver. The barrel recoils like an M2, which is why it's about as accurate.
