OK so here's the scenario. Looking to install a barricade stop in front of DBM on a McMillan stock. Is there a better solution than installing an anschutz style rail to locate the stop? My experience with these in the past was poor. Using a hand stop on one would slide unless seriously locked into position, as in drilling a hole for the lug to seat in. Or just install a threaded bung in the proper location for install of a stop. Obviously the rail would have other uses but I'm not sure it needs them. Just don't want to keep slamming the mag into barricades.
