Given that you've referenced several "service cartridges," you overlooked the one whose penetrative ability is unmatched against a variety of intermediate barriers, like auto glass, metal, wood of varying densities, etc. : the 10mm AUTO. Even the down-loaded "FBI-Lite" 10mm load (180gn @ about 980fps) beat out the .45 and 9mm in its penetration tests.

If you do a Google for, say, "10mm ammo" and "penetration tests," you should be able to find lots of posts, links and YouTube stuff where 10mm users have continued this sort of testing, shooting the round into a variety of items like engine blocks, discarded refrigerators, etc.
In its high-performance manifestations (i.e., original Norma-levels, Double Tap, Buffalo Bore), the 10mm really has no equal in the autoloader category - which means in autoloaders of reasonable size and weight, suitable for concealed carry or duty use. Not the oversized, pants-drooping behemoths, like Desert Eagles, Wildeys or AutoMags.
