barska has some really good prices on SWFA for spotting scopes. right around $140. paying for what i get or a diamond in the rough?

I bought a pretty cheap barska spotter on amazon the other day as a cheap intro spotter. I spent one day at the range with it. The adjustable eyepiece somehow wouldn't adjust and got stuck. In my attempt to make it an offer it couldn't refuse, I somehow managed to screw up lens alignment somewhere. I now only see a cateye-shaped picture through it.
Every time I violate the "buy cheap, buy twice" rule of thumb I seem to fail.
