Base color of AICS for camo dip?

Re: Base color of AICS for camo dip?

When they dipped mine they used a light tan primer and then dipped the skins they did it for my ATACS skins and my other set in Multi-camI really dont think it matters that much. The skins were black and tan to begin with

I removed the factory water transfer finish from my Benelli shotgun before Duracoating by wiping the gun down with paint thinner. It was easily removed with a rag right down to the primer. I believe a dipped finish is only protected by the clear coat that is applied after the water transfer. The primer used under the dip is more durable.

The primer color makes a big difference depending on the pattern your using. For camp patters I would stay away from OD and go to the tans. OD will in effect wash out some of the camp features where the tan makes them "pop". Make sense?
