Base for Rem 700

Anybody here ever use this base? I'm sure there's nothing wrong with it, I'm just currios if it's worth $160 bucks?

No, it's only worth $133.00, oddly enough just what Midway is charging you for it.

Never used that one myself, as I prefer Badger or Seekins because I like extended bases, but USO makes good stuff.

I am sure it is up to the regular standards of USO.

However at that price point I prefer Seekins. IMHO it's a more elegant solution.

i had it on my 700p .338lm. it didnt form to the action as well as i thoguht it would have. i would suggest the nightforce steel base. im now running that on my 700p and its a pretty perfect fit! plus the built in recoil lugs are another bonus that the nightforce has over the USO.

I bought the Talley 20moa rail and for a cost alternative. It looks and fit great.

i use the nightforce base and the leupold 700 SA base on both my rifles

just curious about the comment that it doesn't fit well, what exactly do you mean? Does this compromise its performance?

I use the Leupold one http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/default.aspx?productNumber=315661it's in stock and cheaper.

Plus it has the cut out in it that I like alot.

In that same general price range i would go nightforce or seekins.
